Dr Courtney Baker
Courtney Baker left us in January 2021 to spread her wings professionally. After joining NSVH as a new graduate 4 ½ years ago, this is a normal progression. It is wise to experience other Veterinary Clinics to gain variety in protocols and how other practices operate.
After a hectic COVID period and experiencing how things happen elsewhere, Courtney decided to return to home base. This is a great result for everyone. She is now living closer to the clinic in the northern suburbs and is keen to re-establish relationships with her patients. Clients will be happy to see her return, so they have the familiarity and experience that Courtney brings.
Courtney originally came to us in 2016 as a new graduate from Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science. She is meticulous with the patients she treats and looks after them as they were her own. The animals respond to her as they can feel that compassion in her nature.
At home, Courtney and her partner have been well trained by their 9-year-old Border Collie, Pippin. He keeps them active as well as telling them when a visitor is in his yard, be it a bird, ball or person. The most controlling person in the family is Tina. She is a 3 ½ year old silver, short haired feline. She tolerates everyone in short bursts and then they stay out of her way. In her spare time Courtney enjoys reading novels & watching movies but her biggest timewaster is maintaining all the greenery in her home. She is mesmerised by all the different plants she can house, what they need to be fed and how to care for them efficiently.
Courtney has recently added to her clan with "Barry" the Border Collie. Being young and energetic, Barry visits the clinic often to give Pippin a rest at home. Barry enjoys his clinic visits because this means a play dates with Bettsy & Eddie - Lori's fur children.
It is great to have Courtney back in our team and she has settled in like a missing piece of the puzzle. She is available at Greensborough on a full-time basis..
