Dr Courtney Baker

Courtney Baker comes to us as a mid-year 2016 graduate from Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga. Courtney grew up in NSW going to school in Toronto while living in Kilaben Bay a few kilometres away in the Hunter region.

She moved to Wagga in 2011 to begin her Bachelor of Veterinary Biology while graduating in 2016 with her Bachelor of Veterinary Science.  During that time Courtney did placements in Wagga, Canberra, in Sugarloaf at an Avian practice, Warrnambool in dairy and a Melbourne specialist centre amongst others to decide where her passion was.

Having a partner in Melbourne made the decision easier to move and that is how we were lucky enough to have Courtney come to Greensborough.  She is enjoying putting her knowledge into practice and learning the protocols of being in a busy suburban hospital.  Courtney is meticulous with the animals she treats and looks after them as they were her own and the animals respond to her as they can feel that compassion in her nature.

Courtney has settled in incredibly well with her quiet achieving outlook. Since arriving and exploring Melbourne, Courtney has recently moved to a new home for a more outside lifestyle.  She has an active Border Collie at home in NSW but she can’t see the family giving him up and letting him move to Melbourne.  In her spare time she enjoys reading novels and watching movies.

Courtney is available at Greensborough on a full time basis.
